The Spiritual Formation Team of Discipleship Ministries of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Upper Room welcomes you to our website featuring the Florida Five-Day Academy For Spiritual Formation.

Our first Five-Day Academy was held in March 2001. This year we just hosted our eleventh annual academy on March 13 - 18, 2011, at the Life Enrichment Center in Fruitland Park, Florida. This Academy's featured presenters were Dr. Elise Eslinger and Rev. Dr. Bob Mitchell.  The weather was perfect and all had a great time with Elise and Bob.

 

Now for even more news!  We have the dates for next years academy in 2012:  March 11-16, 2012.  Mark your calendars now! The faculty for 2012 will be Dr. Roberta Bondi and Rev. William Thiele.  Dr. Roberta Bondi is a Professor Emeritus of Church History at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, GA.  Rev. William Thiele is a Spiritual Director at The School of Contemplative Living and senior pastor at Parker UMC in New Orleans, LA.
